Pam Presley Tolbert remembers son

Gold Star Mother Pam Presley Tolbert of Philadelphia, the mother of the late Corp. Michael “Brandon” Presley of Batesville, is escorted by Maj. Gen. Janson D. “Durr” Boyles to the Laying of the Wreath in memory of her son’s life and service to the country last week in Jackson in observance of Veterans Day. 

Michael Presley, 21, served with Second Combat Engineer Battalion, Second Marine Division, Second Marine Expeditionary Force out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and died Dec. 14, 2005, at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany after being wounded in a suicide bombing in Iraq. He was conducting combat operations when he was fatally injured in the explosion. 

Pam is married to Gene Tolbert. A similar photo made the front page of The Wall Street Journal last week.
