James (Carson) Waltman running for Alderman-at-Large position

The is a paid political announcement.

My name is James (Carson) Waltman and I am announcing my candidacy for the position of Alderman-at-Large for the City of Philadelphia as a conservative Republican.  I was born in Philadelphia, Miss. where I have lived most of my life with my wife of 51 years, Linda Waltman.

Linda and I owned and operated two successful Philadelphia businesses for more than 33 years - The Cole House Bed & Breakfast and the Chevron Food Mart on Holland Ave. I am a proud veteran of the United States Army where I served a tour of duty as a helicopter door gunner in Vietnam. My family and I are active members of Crossway Community Church.

As a long-time business owner and resident of Philadelphia, I have a strong desire to serve our city and the wonderful families who call Philadelphia home. I know there are many concerns within our community such as our public schools, community safety, business/ industry recruitment and retention, accountability in leadership, fiscal responsibility and overall quality of life issues that need to be addressed.

I look forward to visiting with you to continue our conversations about what challenges we all face, our ideas to address them and how we can work together to implement real solutions for our community. As Alderman-at-Large I will work collectively with fellow community leaders to listen to our citizens and work hard to produce valuable results that benefit every segment of our city, not just a few.

I believe in hard work with a thoughtful, common sense approach. As Alderman-at-Large I will work diligently with the Mayor and other officials to truly move Philadelphia forward.

I humbly ask for your support and vote on Election Day and look forward to hearing from you all.

Sincerely,

James (Carson) Waltman
