The following is a paid political announcement.

To the citizens of Philadelphia, thanks for your support over the past 12 years.

 I ask for your vote in the upcoming election on April 6th, 2021.

Let’s keep Philadelphia moving forward.

I am married to Sheryl J. Davis Young we have one daughter Shanda Young- Ginetedam. I am pastor of Calvary Apostolic Faith Church in Louisville, MS for 30 years, serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I have been a positive representative for the City of Philadelphia and will lead with integrity, work hard for everyone, no personal agendas, and be fair and equal in representation for all. Philadelphia has been a light for the State and nation of how things can change for the better.

It has been an honor to serve as your mayor for the past 12 years. This is not the time for inexperienced leadership. With me you have proven leadership, sound Judgement and honesty.

This is the time to ask those who oppose me, “What have you done in the last 12 years to make this city better?

We are in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, dealing with challenges that we never imagined before, business as usual does not exist right now, leaders that’s been through emergency situations and knows how to make life saving decisions should be front and center, it’s not about me it is about us. The functions of city government much continue.

I have worked to make Neshoba County and the City of Philadelphia better.

History of service: Emergency Medical Tech, Pre-hospital care, University Medical Center in Jackson Ms. EMT- Paramedic 1982.

Director of Emergency Medical Services- Neshoba General Hospital.

Neshoba Board of Supervisors District Five 1992-2007.

Working with other good men on the board, we completed roads and bridges, building projects the Neshoba County Coliseum, Neshoba County Court House and E-911 system and the Neshoba County Jail.

My experience in getting things done will move Philadelphia forward. you have to be able to work with others in the community,” One Philadelphia”

Today I am proud to say that Philadelphia is financially stronger and with good management we will continue to make improvements in our city.

Some changes that have occurred during my terms as Mayor:

• New equipment to better serve you.

• Removal of old building/ houses. 25 to 30, with more to come.

• Completing infrastructure projects that makes our city more appealing and good for business growth;
