SOIL and water scholarships

Neshoba County Soil and Water Conservation District, a member of the Mississippi Association of Conservation Districts (MACD), announces its annual call for applications for five scholarships to be awarded in January 2023. First place: $10,000. Second place: $10,000. Third place: $10,000. Fourth place: $10,000. Fifth place: $10,000 and sixth place $10,000. These scholarship awards are open to any college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student enrolled in a college or university in the state of Mississippi.

• Applications will be evaluated based on student’s grade point average, activities and leadership qualities, financial need and supporting materials. The Scholarship is open to students pursuing a Natural Resources field of study.

Registration for the 2022 Season is here for Philadelphia Youth Football and Cheer. Looking for Boys and Girls ages 4-12 years. You may register at Booker T Field on Tuesday’s from 5:30-7 pm starting July 5 - Sept 6 , 2022  or you may email philadelphiayouthfootball@gmail.com. Please bring a copy of birth certificate for football players.

NESHOBA COUNTY farmers market 

Neshoba County Farmers Market will be held in the barn area at the Neshoba County Fair Saturday, July 23, from 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. Come by this Saturday from 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. for the Neshoba County Farmers’ Market! There will be local produce from tomatoes to dairy goat products and canned goods provided by local vendors. Natural and Ag-related homemade products such as soaps, lotions, flowers, plants, and other crafts may also be available throughout the market season. For those interested in becoming a vendor, the cost is $10.00 per vending day OR $50.00 for the entire season.

FAMILY REUNION 

The Robert and Martha Dearing Family Reunion will be held Sunday, July 24th, 2022 starting at 10AM-until at the Mississippi Christian Service Camp, Decatur, MS.
