CHURCH REVIVAL

Fellowship Baptist Church is proud to present: Nashville Sound Recording Artist Tim Firth & Gospel Echoes September 12, 2021 at 11 am at Fellowship Baptist Church at 19213 Highway 21 South, Philadelphia, MS. 39350. 

Easiest way to get to the church is get on 21 from 15 like you are going to the Neshoba County Fair, and we are the first church on the right. 

Come out and enjoy a day of singing and fellowshiping.

4H Meet and greet

Neshoba County 4-H will be hosting a 4-H Meet and Greet at the Neshoba County Coliseum for on September 17th between 5 and 7 p.m. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome all our active 4-H’ers as well as our new 4-H’ers. We hope that you will join us in welcoming our two new County Agents, Chase Domingue and Anna Windham. FAMILY REUNION 

CANCELLED

The Rhodes family reunion that is usually held the second Sunday in September at the Community Center at Walton Park in Neshoba has been cancelled for this year.

FREE VETERAN 

WORKSHOP

The Ivy Street Church of Christ will be hosting a free Veteran Workshop Saturday September 18, 2021 at 601 Ivy Street, Philadelphia, MS at 10:00 AM. It is for those Veterans trying to obtain or increase their VA disability, spouse of a Veteran, child of a Veteran, those taking care of their father or mother who is a Veteran or taking care of your father or mother who was married to a Veteran. Neshoba County SWCD now taking tree orders

The Neshoba County Soil and Water Conservation District will be taking tree orders through November 30th, 2021. 

Order forms are available from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday outside the office or you can call 601-656-8783 Ext. 3 and we will e-mail or mail you an order form to you. The office is located at 511 East Lawn Drive in the USDA Building. We are asking that you pay for the trees when placing your order. You may drop off your payment and order form in a drop box outside of the front door.

The trees are bare root trees and will arrive in February 2022. By ordering bulk wholesale we can pass the savings on to you. Proceeds from tree sales will help support educational programs throughout the year.

CHURCH REVIVAL

Mt. Olive Baptist Church in the Stephentown Community will hold a revival on September 26-29, 2021. The following pastors will be bringing the messages: Bro Joel Embrey will bring the message Sunday night at 6:00PM; Bro J.R. Eaton will bring the message Monday night at 7:00PM; Bro David Addy will bring the message Tuesday night at 7:00PM; Bro Joseph Knight will bring the message Wednesday night at 7:00PM. Everyone is invited to come and hear God's Word.

CHURCH CONCERT

Union Pentecostal Church will host Russell Garcia in concert on Saturday 9/11/2021 at 7 PM. A love offering will be received.

Brother Russell Garcia will also minister in the 10 AM service on Sunday 9/12/2021.

FORESTRY  

ASSOCIATION

The Neshoba County Forestry Association will hold its Annual Fall Meeting on Tuesday, September 28th at 6 p.m. at the Neshoba County Coliseum. Tedrick Ratcliff, Executive Vice-President of MFA, will be our guest speaker where he will discuss “Forestry, Today, Tomorrow, and the Next Decade”. People from all aspects of forestry will benefit from this presentation and are encouraged to attend. Penn’s Restaurant will be providing Catfish and Shrimp for this event! Membership dues for the association are $20 per year and will be accepted at the meeting.  Please call the Neshoba County Extension office at (601)-656-4011 to pre-register for the meeting by Monday, September 27th, so we will know how much food to prepare.
