No new COVID deaths reported here

Neshoba County recorded 65 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths in the past week, according to the Mississippi State Department of Health’s Sept. 28 report.

Neshoba County has now recorded a total of 6,495 cases of COVID-19 and 201 deaths since the pandemic began in March 2020.

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians reported six new positive cases of COVID-19 and no deaths in the past week as of Sept. 27, with the total number of positive cases for the Tribe standing at 2,446 with 123 deaths. The Tribe reported three new hospitalizations.

As of Monday, 27% of Neshoba County’s population is fully vaccinated, according to MSDH.

Vaccinations are being administered at Walgreens at 1002 W. Beacon Street in Philadelphia, according to the MSDH.
