Neshoba, Union enter state volleyball playoffs
Neshoba Central and Union have made it to the Mississippi High School Activities Association state volleyball playoffs.
The MHSAA volleyball postseason started Tuesday. Second-round matches are set for Saturday, and the semifinals are scheduled for Oct. 20. The start time for all playoff matches leading up to the championships is 6 p.m.
The Lady Rockets were to tangle with Grenada on Tuesday. The winner advances to the second round of the Class 5A tournament on Saturday.
Union drew a first round bye, The Lady Yellowjackets will play in the second round of the Class 2A tournament on Saturday.
The 1A, 3A and 6A championships are set for noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively, at Madison Central. The 2A, 4A and 5A championships are scheduled for noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Clinton High.
