Neshoba EMS adds 3 new ambulances
Neshoba EMS has added three new 2025 ambulances to its fleet to better serve the citizens of Neshoba County.
The new ambulances, which cost $210,326 each, were ordered in July 2022 and delivered last week.
The Mississippi Legislature appropriated $250,000 in 2022 toward the acquisition of new ambulances for the Neshoba County Ambulance Enterprise, a joint venture between Neshoba County and Neshoba County General Hospital.
Additional funding came from accrued Emergency Medical Services Operating Fund (EMSOF) grants.
Officials said the Neshoba County Ambulance Enterprise will reimburse Neshoba County General Hospital for the remaining costs of the ambulances.
EMS Director Tina Savell expressed her gratitude to the Board of Supervisors during their Dec. 16 meeting, thanking them for securing the much-needed equipment, which is vital to continuing service in the county.
