Neshoba Central soccer teams competing for playoff berths

Both Neshoba Central soccer teams are on their way to earning a place in the upcoming state playoffs.

The Rocket teams compete in the same region with Ridgeland, Canton and Cleveland Central. All teams play each other twice. The Lady Rockets entered the week with a 3-0 record while the boys stand at 2-1, losing only to Ridgeland.

“At the start of the season, we scheduled some tough Jackson area teams and 6A school,” Coach Jared Lee said. “Playing tough competition will help us get ready for the playoffs.”

The Rockets teams were to host Cleveland Central on Friday and Morton on Saturday morning.
