Mary Rushing

Funeral services were held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from High Hill Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Bro. Don Cook officiated. McClain-Hays was in charge of arrangements.

Mary Rushing passed away peacefully at the age of 89. She was originally from Leake County but lived in Neshoba County for over 70 years. Mary helped many families as a babysitter for more than 30 years. She loved gardening and enjoyed growing flowers. However, the time she spent with her family and friends brought her the most joy. Mrs. Rushing was a dedicated member of High Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Patsy (Lamar) Gorum and Rose (Donnie) Henson; son, Frank Carroll Rushing; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Ms. Rushing was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lee Rushing; daughter, Wanda Rushing; sister, Edna Earl Comans; and brother, Lamar Comans.
