Mary Diane Johnson

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Rev. Mack Alford will officiate. All friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate her life.

Mary Diane Johnson, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving a legacy of love and kindness. She was a native of Neshoba County and graduated from Neshoba Central High School in 1971 and later earned her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse from East Central Community College. After a fulfilling career, she retired in 2016.

She is survived by her daughter, Sondra Harper (Brian) Childress; son, Eric (Ashley) Johnson; sister, Gwen Welburn; brothers, Dewayne and Danny Matthews; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her grandson, Brandon Steven Harper; her parents, Rudolph and Grace Matthews; and her sister, Beverly Matthews.
