Mary Caroline Willis to wed David Walton Crasto Jr. Sept. 25


Dr. and Mrs. Walter Lewis Willis of Philadelphia announce the engagement of their daughter Mary Caroline Willis to David Walton Crasto, Jr., son of Dr. and Mrs. David Walton Crasto, Sr. of Jackson.  

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Martin Gartrell of Meridian, the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lee Gordon (Rae Ellen) and Ms. Mary Lewis Willis of Philadelphia, and the late Mr. Joe Louis Willis.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Natie Priestly Caraway of Jackson and the late Mr. Natie Priestly Caraway, Ms. Jeanne Brown Crasto of Madison, and Mr. Donald Lloyd Crasto of Mount Juliet, Tennessee. 

Miss Willis is a 2016 honor graduate of Madison Central High School.  She earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and graduated cum laude in 2020 from the University of Mississippi.  While attending Ole Miss, she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society, The Ole Miss Yearbook Staff, and Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity.  Miss Willis completed her master of business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in June of 2021.   

Dr. Crasto is a 2008 graduate of Jackson Academy.  He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in 2012 in chemistry and psychology and a master of science in chemistry in 2014.  While at Ole Miss, he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.  Dr. Crasto earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine at William Carey University in 2019 and completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of South Alabama in Mobile.  After completing a clinical dermatology research fellowship, Dr. Crasto is currently a dermatology resident at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, Florida.

The couple will exchange wedding vows September 25 at First United Methodist Church in Philadelphia with a reception following at the home of the bride at Longino Farms.  They will make their home in North Miami Beach.
