Margaret Lee McDonald to wed Robert Alvin Blackmon IV Sept. 18

Mr. and Mrs. Michael James McDonald of Ridgeland announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Lee McDonald to Mr. Robert Alvin Blackmon IV, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Alvin Blackmon III of Flowood. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Terrance McDonald of Indianapolis, IN, and Dr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Moore, Jr. of Philadelphia. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Alvin Blackmon, Jr. of Memphis and Mr. and Mrs. Gus Angelo Primos of Flowood. 

Miss McDonald is a 2011 Alpha Omega graduate of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2015 from The University of Mississippi and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from The University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2017. While at the University of Mississippi she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. In 2012, she was presented by the Debutante Club of Mississippi. Miss McDonald is currently a registered nurse at Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital. 

The prospective bridegroom graduated from Jackson Preparatory School in 2005.  He attended the University of Mississippi and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2009.  While at Ole Miss, he was a member of Phi Delta Theta.  Mr. Blackmon is currently employed with Lakeland Development Corporation. 

The couple will exchange vows on September 18 at Fondren Church with a reception to follow at the Country Club of Jackson. They will make their home in Jackson.
