A man out on bond on a statutory rape charge has been arrested again and charged by Sheriff’s deputies in two related sexual battery cases, Sheriff Eric Clark said.

Devin Edward Nowell, 19, by 11301 Road 404, was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual battery, Clark said.

Nowell turned himself in on Sept. 9 about 3 p.m. He was released on a $20,000 bond the same day.

Clark said the incidents took place in January and were discovered during a forensic interview with the victim in July.

Nowell was arrested and charged with statutory rape in July after he was caught in the act with the victim by Philadelphia Police in the Depot Family Fun Center parking lot off of Beacon Street on July 7 around 2 a.m.

Clark said this was the same victim in the two recent county charges.

Clark said the victim was between the ages of 14 and 15 at the time of the incident and Nowell being 36 months older than the victim would be a factor considered in court.

He said Nowell faces up to five years and $5,000 in restitution for each sexual battery charge.
