Man arrested for child pornography

A Neshoba County man has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography in connection with an Attorney General’s office task force investigation.

Jimmy Lee Strait, 40, of 10040 Road 561, was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography. 

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said that Strait was arrested and charged on Nov. 8 after they received a tip from the Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

He said an investigation that involved a search of Strait’s social media led to a search warrant that led to the discovery of child pornography on multiple of Strait’s digital media storage devices such as computers and hard-drives.

Clark said that items recovered have been turned over to the AG’s office for review. They will see if further charges are possible or if any of the materials implicate other individuals.
