Lonnie Carrol Barrier

Funeral services for Lonnie Carrol Barrier are Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel. Burial will follow in North Bend Pentecostal cemetery.

Mr. Barrier, 81, of Ridgeland, died Friday, January 6, 2023.

He was a native of Neshoba County and graduate of Neshoba Central High School and Mississippi State, later earning his MBA from Mississippi College.  He started his career as a civil engineer with Mississippi Power & Light (Entergy) and worked until retiring after 25 years of service.  He returned to the workforce with MDEQ in 2001.

Survivors include daughters, Melanie Beach of Bastrop, LA, Ann Summers of Belle Chasse, LA, Sharon Frazier of Clinton, MS; son, Kevin Barrier of Bentonia, MS; 10 grandchildren;  three great-grandchildren; sister, Francis Bryant of Longview, TX.

Pallbearers are Gregg Summers, Michael Beach, Kevin Barrier, Joshua Barfield, Brian Lowrey, and Patrick Thomas.
