Funeral services for Ms. Linda Glass will be held at 11AM Wednesday July 2, 2025, at John E. Stephens Chapel with interment in Henry’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 AM - 11 AM Wednesday July 2, 2025, at John E. Stephens Chapel.

Ms. Glass, 78, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025, in Meridian, MS. She lived most of her life in Philadelphia, MS where she was a member of Henry’s Chapel Church. She was a Homemaker, a member of TISBA where she was both a singer and songwriter, and writer of “Fork News” in the Neshoba Democrat for 10 plus years.

Preceded in death by her husband, Merkell L. Glass Sr.; parents, Thomas Alvin Cumberland and Helne Hendrix Cumberland; daughter, Valeria Reddecliff; son, Ray Coats; sister, Ann Palmer; brothers, James Cumberland, Thomas Cumberland, Darnell Cumberland.

Survivors include daughters, Ann Jenkins (Jimmy), Lisa McCarter (Doug), Donna Coats; sons, David M. Coats (Jessica), Charles Ray Coats; sister, Nita Moore (John) and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
