A private family graveside service for Lillian Joyner Rickles was held from Pine Grove Cemetery in the House Community with Rev. Rusty Walton officiating.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 

Ms. Rickles, 96, of Union, died Monday, December 28, 2020.

A native and lifelong resident of the House Community of Neshoba County, she was a graduate of House High School and operated a small grocery store on highway 19 south early in life.  She then worked as a seamstress for Midland Shirt Factory until retirement.  She enjoyed yard work, flowers, reading, and doing puzzles, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.   Ms. Rickles attended Bethel Church of God in the House Community until it closed, after which she became a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church of the House Community. 

Survivors include daughters, Gay Rigdon (Milford) of Union, Brenda Fortenberry (Buddy) of Philadelphia; son, Everett “Rick” Rickles (Patty) of Meridian; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Nanette Winstead (Wayne) of Union; brothers, James “Buddy” Joyner of Dallas, TX, Junior Joyner of Union, Billy Joyner (Audine) of Union; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ms. Rickles was preceded in death by; parents, Quinn and Iva Mae Joiner; sister, Mayzelle Watkins; brother, Arlo Joiner; and great-great-granddaughter, Zoe Lilly Rigdon.

Pallbearers were Wade Rigdon, Kevin Rigdon, Jason Rigdon, Jay Fortenberry, Jeff Fortenberry, Casey Rickles, and Stetson Rickles.  Honorary pallbearer is Sha Long.
