To the editor:

Thank you to the people of Neshoba County for your tremendous support of Veterans! I was privileged to participate in the re-dedication of the Fallen Veterans

Monument in Dewitt-DeWeese Park in Philadelphia on Veterans Day and was very heartened to see the strong show of support for those who have served.

Veterans Day is set aside to honor all who have worn the cloth of our nation. It was especially rewarding to be with so many local Veterans honoring the 102 fallen service members whose names are forever commemorated on the Fallen Veterans Monument.

Rebuilding this important monument so quickly after last year’s tornado is a display of the resilience and dedication of the people of Neshoba County. The large crowd on hand for the rededication confirms your patriotism and devotion to all those who served, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Once again, thank you to the great patriots of Neshoba County for your overwhelming support of our Veterans! Thanks especially for rebuilding and rededicating the Fallen Veterans Monument on what you made sure was an unforgettable Veterans Day.

With deepest gratitude,

Randy Reeves

Commander

U.S. Navy, Retired

Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs
