The Leake Academy Rebels got in a pair of games with Choctaw Central this past week and took home a pair of blowout wins.

Leake allowed just five hits in two games as they beat Choctaw 15-0 on Tuesday and 20-0 on Friday.

Leake has three games scheduled this week as they will host Central Hinds on Monday and play at Ethel on Thursday. They will finish the week on Friday at Newton County Academy.

Leake 15, Choctaw Central 0

The Rebels had 10 hits and took just three innings to take a run-rule win over the Warriors.

Leake scored four in the first and third and seven in the second.

Leake had 10 hits in the contest with seven extra base hits. Majure Chandler was 2-for-3 with a double, triple and three RBIs while Tyler Winstead was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs. Jack Harkins homered for the second straight game and scored three runs while Will Garner doubled and scored thee runs. Tanner Walsworth doubled and drove in two runs while Gage Warren singled and scored three runs. Caden Stovall also doubled and had two RBIs.

Stovall started on the mound and pitched three shutout innings, scattering three hits while striking out eight.

Leake 20, Choctaw Central 0

The Rebels overcame a slow start and scored 17 runs in two innings to take a four-inning, run-rule win on Friday.

Leake scored three in the first but then scored eight in the third and nine in the fourth.

Leake had nine hits and took advantage of 10 walks and eight hits. Jack Harkins was 2-for-3 and hit a home run in his third straight game. Harkins also walked twice, scored three runs and had two walks. Tyler Winstead doubled, walked twice, scored two runs and had three RBIs while Caden Stovall singled and drove in three runs. Matthew Nowell singled, scored three runs and drove in two while Gage Warren singled and drove in two. Easton Page also doubled for the Rebels.

Will Garner started on the mound and pitched three innings, giving up just one hit while striking out six to get the win. Nowell pitched the last inning and gave up one hit.
