Leake Academy's Allen, Prince named to all-state basketball teams
The MAIS recently announced their all-state basketball teams, with a couple of Leake Academy players being named.
On the girls side, Jenna Allen made the MAIS 5A All-State team after a stellar junior season. Allen averaged 10.9 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game, 1.5 assists per game, and 1.1 steals per game on the season.
Allen led Leake Academy to a 32-5 record, a MAIS 5A North runner-up finish, and a fourth place finish in the MAIS 5A state tournament.
On the boys side, Samuel Prince was named to the MAIS 5A All-State team, following a dominant junior year. Prince averaged 21.2 points per game, 6.9 rebounds per game, 2.5 assists per game, and 3 steals per game on the year.
Prince led Leake Academy to a 23-10 record, a third place finish in the MAIS 5A North tournament, and the first round of the MAIS 5A state tournament.
Both players will be back at Leake Academy for their senior season next year and will look to lead Leake Academy to even further success.
