The Leake Academy tennis team split a pair of games this past week.

The Rebels started the week with a 9-0 win over Winston Academy and then fell 7-2 to Lamar School.

Leake now moves to the district tennis tournament, which will be on Thursday at Northeast Park in Meridian.

Leake 9, Winston 0

The Rebels had little trouble with Winston Academy on Monday as they took a clean sweep of the Patriots.

In girls singles, Taylor Allen continued her strong play as she won 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot while Shelby Rudolph won 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot.

In girls doubles, Katie Warner and Aubrey Rudolph won 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 1 spot while Liza Kate Long and Taylor Breland won 6-1, 7-5 at the No. 2 spot.

In boys singles, William Warner won 6-4, 7-5 at the No. 1 spot while Grayson Atchley won by forfeit at the No. 2 spot.

In boys singles, Hagen Bobo and Hayden Jenkins won 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 1 spot while the two teams did not play No. 2 doubles.

In mixed doubles, Elizabeth Smith and Brady Thornton won 6-4, 6-1.

Lamar 7, Leake 2

The Rebels got two wins at the No. 1 singles spots but fell overall to Lamar on Thursday to end district play.

In girls singles, Taylor Allen won 6-3, 6-2 and will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming district tournament as she tries to make it back to the Class 5A finals. Shelby Rudolph lost 6-4, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot.

In boys singles, William Warner won 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 1 spot and will also be the No. 1 seed going into the district tournament.

In girls doubles, Katie Warner and Aubrey Rudolph lost 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 1 spot while Taylor Breland and Liza Kate Long lost 7-5, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot.
