Late judge Gordon remembered

A stretch of Highway 15 in Union was recently named for the late Circuit Judge Marcus D. Gordon.

Son Craig Gordon said: “Teresa, Darin, Brian, my wife Brenda and I were so honored for the city of Union, Newton and Neshoba counties, and the Legislature of the State of Mississippi to memorialize our father, Judge Marcus D. Gordon, with a dedication of a section of Mississippi Highway 15 for him. We especially want to thank the citizens of Leake, Neshoba, Newton and Scott counties for what they meant to Dad. He tried so hard to be a fair and impartial judge for everyone during his long years on the bench and it goes without saying we think he did so with honor, courage and in his own way. Judge Gordon would deeply appreciate the highway dedication as a way he would be remembered. For the way his friends in four counties and his family lovingly remember our Dad, we are forever grateful.”
