Lady Yellowjackets capture big district win 40-31
The Union girls grabbed the only win of the week as they took a big division victory over rival Sebastopol.
The Lady Yellowjackets built an early lead and took a 40-31 win over the Lady Bobcats. They also fell 59-37 to Choctaw County.
The Yellowjackets dropped both contest last week, falling 52-42 to Sebastopol and 57-42 to Choctaw County.
Union has a pair of home contests this week as they host J.Z. George on Tuesday and Philadelphia on Friday.
Union girls 40, Sebastopol 31
The Lady Yellowjackets built an early lead and held on to take a nine-point win over the Lady Bobcats.
Rymia Craft and Gracyn Tillman each had 14 points apiece while Destiny Campbell had 11 points.
Mallee Wilson led Sebastopol with eight points while Lakin Musgrove and Laila Rogers each had seven points apiece. Kayjay Lay also chipped in six points for the Lady Bobcats.
Sebastopol boys 52, Union 42
The Bobcats built a double-digit lead and held on to take a 10-point win over the Yellowjackets.
Luke McGarrity led Sebastopol with 18 points while Adarius McDougle had 13 points. Bryan Bell also chipped in nine points.
Mason Tucker led Union with 17 points while Kobe Hutchins had nine points. Aiden Davis also had six points for the Yellowjackets.
Choctaw County girls 59, Union 37
The Lady Chargers used a big second half to pull away and take a 22-point win over the Lady Yellowjackets.
Destiny Campbell led Union with 15 points while Rymia Craft had 11 points. Gracyn Tillman also had six points for Union.
Choctaw County boys 57, Union 42
The Chargers pulled away late and took a 15-point win over the Yellowjackets.
Aiden Davis led a balanced scoring attack with 10 points while Kobe Hutchins, Mason Tucker and Zie Buckley each had nine points apiece.
