Lady Rockets improve to 6-0

The Neshoba Central Lady Rockets picked up two victories in the West Harrison softball tournament last week and improved to 6-0.

The Lady Rockets defeated South Panola 6-5 in a game that went eight innings. They also stopped East Central 9-2.

Elleigh Willis pitched eight innings to pick up the win over South Panola. Willis helped her cause by nailing two hits while scoring one run while knocking in another.

Tenly Grisham had three hits, scored two runs and knocked in two runs. Lanayah Henry had two hits.

The Lady Rockets had 14 hits in their win over East Central. Charmayne Morris, Machrie Jones, Annaleigh Jones and Lanayah Henry all hit a double.

The Lady Rockets have four games this weekend. On Friday, they play Southeast Lauderdale and Northwest Rankin in the Enterprise tournament. Saturday, they play St. Benedict (Tenn.) and Southeast Lauderdale in the Clarkdale SpringFling tournament.
