Lady Rockets improve to 12-2 with two wins

The Neshoba Central Lady Rockets went 2-1 last week and entered this week with a 11-2 record.

Neshoba Central opened the week with a 12-0 win over Choctaw Central. They dropped a 4-0 decision to Hernando in the South Jones tournament. They then blasted host South Jones 15-0.

Lanayah Henry pitched a no-hitter as the Lady Rockets defeated Choctaw Central.

Neshoba Central scored two in the first, three in the second and seven in the third.

Tenly Grisham hit a double and a single. She scored three runs and knocked in two more. Charmayne Morris hit a triple and a single. She scored two runs and knocked in two more. Sa’Nya Jackson hit a double and knocked in three runs. Miley Thomas had two hits, scored two runs and knocked in two more. Hama’ya Fielder had two hits, scored one run with 1 RBI.

Hernando outhit Neshoba 10-3 to take the win.

Morris hit a triple to pace the Lady Rockets. Grisham and Morris both had one hit.

South Jones 0

Neshoba Central rebounded to defeat South Jones in three innings.

The Lady Rockets scored four in the first, six in the second and five in the third.

Mauhree Jones was the winning pitcher. K.K. Goodin also pitched.

Henry led with a home run and a single. She scored three runs and knocked in three more. Jackson hit a double and a single. She scored two runs and knocked in another run. Miley Thomas hit two doubles and scored two runs. Mya Willis had three hits, scored three runs and knocked in two more. Morris and Grisham both had two hits and scored two runs.
