LA archers win opening matches

The Leake Academy archery team has started the season off with two impressive wins.
On Saturday, Leake hosted a three-team shoot at Joe. F. Shepard gym in Madden and easily took a win over Winston Academy and Starkville Academy.
Leake shot 3,203 on the day while Winston totaled 2,999 points and Starkville had 2,584 points.
For the Rebels Gage O'Mally led all scorers with 289 points while Reed Leopard had 282 points. Garrett Joiner and Matthew Breazeale each had 272 points.
On the girls side, Ramzy Beth Johnson had 266 points while Charity Rhinewalt had 263 points. Emily Boyd had 257 points while Anna Shea Sturdivant had 255 points.
