Philadelphia native Jimmy Kight is serving as Vice President of the Starkville Unit Board of Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Golden Triangle.

Kight is the Director of Development for the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University. 

He began working for Mississippi State as a Regional Admissions Counselor in 2007 in Jackson. He moved to Starkville in 2010 after accepting the role of Assistant Director of Development in the College of Business. He has been in his current position since 2014.

Kight is a 2002 graduate of Philadelphia High School and a 2007 graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor's degree in communication.

He is married to Mary Kathryn (Adams) of Greenville. They have two children, Claire, 12, and Charlie, 7, in the Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District. 

He is passionate about improving the lives of fellow Mississippians and having a positive impact on children in the Golden Triangle community.

He is the son of Virginia Clark Kight and the late Jim Kight
