Last Sunday was a very special one for the Prince -Haefer families. Tiny Benjamin Cole Haefer was baptized at the First United Methodist Church in Philadelphia. He and his parents, Matt and Anne Cassidy Haefer, traveled all of the way from Vancouver, Washington, for his baptism. Benjamin looked adorable in his baptism gown and seemed to be happy during the event.

After the baptism, the family gathered together to celebrate Jimmy Prince’s 92nd birthday. It was such a joyous day with so many family members present for these two events. Congratulations and blessings to Benjamin Cole and Happy Birthday to Jimmy Prince!

We had a wonderful Christmas again this year. My brother, Ronald Grenko, came from Albuquerque, with thanks to Lacey Yates who picked him up in Jackson!

Candler and Bert and our granddog, Abbie, came from Dallas by way of  Natchez where they visited Bert's family first.

Coco and Abbie played together all over the house. We let them run wherever they wanted. A fire burned constantly in the fireplace where we sat and visited and enjoyed all kinds of goodies. My brother brought tamales and bizcochitos which are the state cookie of New Mexico. They are a very thin sugar cookie made with lard and dusted with cinnamon and a little sugar. This is a melt-in-your mouth cookie.

On the 27th, we went to dinner at Phillip M's to enjoy a luscious dinner in celebration of our 53rd Anniversary. My brother headed back to Albuquerque on the 28th. It is always so hard to say goodbye. Once a year isn’t enough, but so thankful to have everyone with us again.
