Sam and June Nowell had a fun night out in Starkville recently. They ate dinner at a new restaurant for them, 44 Prime. They highly recommend it for its great service and upscale atmosphere.

After dinner, they took in their first college volleyball game ever! MSU Bulldogs played the Georgia Bulldogs, and our Bulldogs won! The band played, and the cheerleaders cheered. It was a fun evening for the couple.

Freedom Ranch Wildlife Center paid a visit to Philadelphia Elementary School and brought along some real live wildlife to share. The center rescues wild creatures and cares for them. The students were introduced to some special rescue animals including Tank the armadillo and Sherlock the Cavy. They also met several different friendly harmless snakes. Hitch, the crow, even talked to the children! It was an exciting and educational experience for the fascinated group.
