It was a gorgeous day for a visit from dinosaurs at the Church of Christ Fellowship Hall. The dinosaurs had come to help Wyatt Little celebrate his 6th birthday with a party.

The party's theme was "Jurassic Park" with gold inflatable letters spelling "Wyatt's Park" and tropical foliage decorating the cake table with a T-Rex on one side and a plate of cookies with dinosaur tracks and leaves on the other. The birthday cake sat in the center, and what a cake it was! It was decorated in green leaves all over with dinosaur eggs on the top. It was perfect for the party.

The tables had centerpieces with various dinosaurs resting in nests of greenery and tall clear vases holding green leaves. There were large green plant leaves on some of the tables which added to the ambiance. After playing games outside, the children had refreshments and Wyatt excitedly opened all of his presents.

It was a fun party with both sets of grandparents present!

For the past year, Mary Mosley Pickering has received treatment for leukemia at Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson. Her parents, Jessica and Blake Pickering, are so very grateful for the excellent care she received as well as the support from our community.

Now is the time to give back to this awesome hospital that helps children from our county and all over our state. It involves something that we all have to do at one time or another, fill our gas tanks!

The Junction Deli and Fuel Center is participating in "The Giving Pump" fundraising campaign from now until Oct. 31.

PUMP 1 at the Junction is that magic pump! It is easy to spot when you drive up because it is decked out in purple and has a sign labeling it the "Giving Pump". It also says, "Fill up here and help our local kids." What a wonderful way to painlessly donate to this fantastic hospital, and thank you to The Junction!
