During commencement ceremonies at the University of Mississippi Medical Center's Jackson campus which were held at the Mississippi Coliseum, Ginger Vowell Flake received her Master of Science in Nursing and Health Care Administration diploma. Three years of hard work culminated in the completion of an advanced degree. Ginger also has a Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.

With the encouragement and support from her husband, Jordan, and her two sons, Jack and Hunt, along with her parents, David and Brenda Vowell, and her brothers, Craig and the Reverend Chris Vowell, Ginger decided to pursue a graduate degree.  She credits her success to all of their cheering her on, standing by during difficult times, and all of their help.

According to Ginger, "The absolute BEST ending to the hardest 3 years of my life!" She is so thankful to her family for all they have done to see that she finished her degree. Her proud husband, sons, parents, and her brothers, were in the audience to watch Ginger walk across the stage on May 28!
