It was tiny Ezra James Young's first Christmas in the world and he was ready for Santa! He wore a cute pair of Christmas jammies for the occasion and looked adorable. It was a special Christmas for his parents, Eddie Joe and Kelly George Young who had been anticipating spending this Christmas with Ezra. First Christmases are truly memorable and they only happen once. Making memories together is priceless.

The Fifth Wednesday Bridge Club met on December 29th at The Holland House for lunch and an afternoon of bridge. Hostesses were Joyce Dansby and Shirley Cox.

It was a fun occasion for everyone attending. They enjoyed a Mexican lunch prepared by Joyce Dansby with a rum cake and blueberry pie for dessert. After lunch, it was time for bridge. There were three tables of bridge players which made it even more interesting. Cards were shuffled and dealt to each person. There was a lot of chatter along with serious players. It was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon and the time raced by.

Those attending were hostesses, Joyce Dansby and Shirley Cox, Susan Burt, Rau Fleming, Joyce Hardy, Beth Henson, Carol Oliphant, Charlene Webb, Jan Williamson, Alice Rowe, Sarah Hinkle, and June Nowell.

What better way to celebrate retirement after 36 years than a trip to Orlando and the Magic Kingdom? Gene Tolbert spent Christmas with his daughter, Leah Tolbert Shepard and her husband in Orlando where he and his wife, Pm Presley Tolbert, had such a magical time. Gene retired from Tolbert Chevrolet in December and has some fun times planned. He and Pam attended the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on New Year's Day where they cheered their Rebels with much enthusiasm. Congratulations!

It was a very exciting Christmas at Don and Sharon McKay's home this year. Two of their grandchildren celebrated their very first Christmas together. It was even more special when Anna Margaret McKay and Eleanor Johnson met for the first time. Anna Margaret is 3 months old and Eleanor is 7 months old. To help make sure the babies bonded with each other, both were dressed in identical outfits during the visit. These first cousins have built-in best friends forever.

Anna Margaret's big brothers, Isaac and Fletcher were so excited to be in Philadelphia with their grandparents, too. They both like to help Sharon make biscuits in the kitchen whenever they are together.

The parents of Eleanor are Brent and Mollie McKay Johnson from Oxford. Richard and Glyn McKay are the parents of Fletcher, Isaac, and Anna Margaret from Texas.

Christmas was a joyous time for Lynda Stribling this year. Her daughter, Ragan Stribling Sonnabend and her husband, Marc Sonnabend with their two daughters who live in Arlington Heights, Illinois came to spend the holidays with all of the Stribling family. There are several cousins involved who live in Philadelphia and had a good time together. The Sonnabaends stayed with Heath Stribling and his children. Everybody enjoyed hanging out together and getting better acquainted Long distance families are sometimes rather lonely around holidays, so glad everyone could get together this year.
