Philadelphia Elementary School loves its teachers!  The third-grade TAG classes showed some love in the sweetest way with cookies! They delivered cookies to all of the teachers on Thursday, Nov. 18, as a pre-Thanksgiving expression of affection.

Thank you to these students and their teacher, Katie Adkins Monday, for their kindness.  Thank you to Penelope Parks Saxton for making the cookies for them.

Mary Mo is five!! She spent the day in her pajamas cruising the street in her new Power Wheels gift from Mom and Dad, ate some of her amazing birthday cake which had a "City Greens" theme as requested, and supper with her family. She also opened some awesome presents which delighted her.

The birthday celebration continued on Saturday, November 13, with a benefit Cut-a-Thon hosted by Lacey Trout Yates at her Envie Salon which raised a generous sum for Mary Mo and finished with a Birthday Parade in the afternoon down Poplar. Mary Ann Nicholson organized the parade since Mary Mo could not have a party, a parade seemed like a great idea.  Mary Mo stood outside and waved and greeted her friends as they drove past. She seems to have had a marvelous birthday! God bless this precious little warrior child. Her parents, Blake and Jessica Long Pickering, made her birthday full of smiles!
