The ladies of the First United Methodist Church honored Caroline Willis with a bridal shower on Sunday afternoon, June 27.

Tables covered in crisp, white, floor length tablecloths gave the room a festive air. A lovely white sheet cake with the letter C in silver for "Crasto", Caroline's future last name, was centered on one round table. An arrangement of white fresh-cut flowers added a nice touch.

Caroline is the daughter of Dr. Walt and Allison Gartrell Willis of Philadelphia. She and Dave Crasto will be married in a ceremony at the First United Methodist Church on the evening of September 25, 2021.

It was an exciting event for Taylor and an honor to be chosen as a member of this elite group. She works hard training and maintaining her skills with her horse. Taylor is the daughter of Shane and Janet Yates Allen.

Spring Creek Baptist Church opened its doors and heart for a bridal shower honoring one of its members who grew up in the church. Anna Maria Spears was honored by friends and family on Sunday afternoon, July 11. It was a joyous occasion for Anna who had been a member since she was a little girl. One of her gifts was a framed quote, "The house that built me", which she felt described the event perfectly-these women, this church, her family, and friends all helped her be the person she is today.

The church hall was decorated with loving care.  An arch of balloons is green, white, and fold floated above the gift tables covered in floor-length white cloths. A variety of delectable foods was served from long tables covered with white cloths centered with a burlap topper. A beautifully decorated cake on a two-tiered cake stand surrounded with white flowers on the bottom tier was the centerpiece. The honoree wore a white wrist corsage given by the hostesses.  There was a shower invitation displayed on a table alongside flowers and a picture of Anna and David mounted on an easel near the door.

Anna opened the many gifts which had been brought by her guests to help the couple furnish their home. She is so grateful to everyone who attended and made her day such a special one.

Anna was Neshoba County's Miss Hospitality for 2019.  She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a major in Biology and Chemistry.  Her future plans include attending medical school. She and Jordan Davidson will be married on August 28 at the Dodson Farms in Starkville.  Her parents are Terry and Melanie Spears.
