March 14 was a perfect day for a baseball game. Plenty of sunshine, blue skies, and fans in the stands at Swayze Field in Oxford on the Ole Miss campus made it a great time for Ole Miss Rebel fans.    Gene and Pam Tolbert were ready to enjoy watching their first game of the season. They had such a good time, as always, and are looking forward to more Rebel games.

Don and Sharon Tingle McKay are always so happy when their daughter-in-law, Glynn McKay, works in Mississippi. Their grandsons, Fletcher and Isaac, come and stay with them. Glynn's job requires her to do some traveling occasionally, and when she works in Mississippi, she and the boys fly from Texas to spend time with their grandparents. They arrived on Wednesday, St. Patrick's Day, for a visit with their Philadelphia grandparents.  What fun!

There was a large family gathering of the Dansby, Rhodes, Edmisson, Little, and Eakes families recently to celebrate the 87th birthday of Delores Edmisson. She is the mother of Deena Dansby, Mickie Williams, Eric Edmisson, and Jackie Rhodes, a grandmother, and a great grandmother to the families. Mrs. Edmisson lives in  Dickson, Tennessee, and it is always a treat for "Nanda" to visit her Mississippi family.

Her actual birthday was on March 18, so it was decided to celebrate it in Philadelphia while she was visiting. The family spent time together with many activities inside and out, with lots of snuggling and cuddling with Nanda for both big and little people. The family dined together at City Limits in a private dining  room/  They enjoyed a delicious dinner followed by a beautiful birthday cake and many thoughtful gifts which she enjoyed opening ad thanking everyone.

Those enjoying the extended early Happy Birthday celebration were Eric, Kim, Kaylee, Noah, and Chase Edmisson from Tennessee; Jeff and Arrah Addison, Tanner, and Avery, also from Tennessee; Barrett and Kelly Dansby Little, Whitt, and Wyatt; TJ and Jill Dansby Rushing, Kaiser, and Hutt; Deena and Steve Dansby; Mickie and Sid Williams; Bo and Lindsey Williams Eakes, Lelly, Laura Frances, and Ace from Neshoba County, and Jackie Rhodes who is also from Tennessee.

Grace Baptist Church's children and youth departments organized a project to provide an Easter basket for each of the 120 children in foster care in Neshoba County.  Andrea Jay Moore requested anyone who wished to participate could do so by assembling a basket for a child at home, buying a ready-made basket, or donating money or a gift card for her to purchase Easter treats to place in baskets .

The goal of the project is to show these children that they are special and loved during what can be a traumatic or trying time for each of them. No matter what the circumstances for placement are, they are children who might feel some joy from having an Easter basket especially for them. Contact Andrea Jay Moore if you wish to participate.

Lelly Jane Eakes celebrated her 5th birthday on March 14 with an impromptu party at her home. She wanted to have a party while her cousins from Tennessee were here to help celebrate.

Everyone enjoyed an amazing cake and ice cream among other goodies. Her little guests wore party hats and had a great time bouncing, jumping, and sliding on the colorful jumpy castle in the backyard. That evening, Lelly Jane had her first Spend the Party and she just loved it!  Her smiles lighted up her pretty face.  Lelly Jane was happy to have her Great Grandmother, Delores Edmisson, share in her birthday celebration.  It was a busy birthday week!  Her parents are Bo and Lindsey Williams Eakes who carried out the party plans. Sid and Mickie Edmisson Williams, her grandparents, helped out, too. Happy Birthday!

Dax Barrett, son of Kyle and Allison Barrett of Quitman, celebrated his first birthday on January, 10, 2021, with a Rookie of the Year Baseball Party at his home with close friends and family. He recently enjoyed his birthday gift of a trip to the Mississippi Aquarium in Gulfport with grandparents, Dan and Stephanie Perry. He loved walking and looking at all the fish and other aquatic creatures. He especially enjoyed the dolphins and the otter. His Mom and Dad were glad they were allowed to go along with him and the grands. Happy Birthday, Dax!
