The NFL Draft has been scheduled for April 29-May 1, 2021 in Cleveland, Ohio. This is the 86th NFL Draft which is held in different locations through the years. Although there will probably be some changes to the usual process due to the Pandemic, it is always an exciting event for football fans.

It is even more exciting this year because Greg Antonio Eiland, a graduate of Philadelphia High School and a member of the Philadelphia Tornadoes football team and also a Mississippi State Bulldogs alum, has declared for the draft this year. Greg was an outstanding member of the Bulldog team. He not only excelled on the football field, but he also earned a degree in the process.

Greg participated in the College Gridiron Showcase in Fort Worth, Texas at the McNair Stadium recently.  The week-long event consisted of NFL prospects who have completed their eligibility NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and NAIA.  He competed and won a place for further training in New Jersey!

His proud mother and major fan is Lesa Eiland. Congratulations and wishing you the very best of luck!

Exciting news from the Mississippi State University campus! Anna Fracchia has been selected as one of two research assistants for the Grandfamilies Lab study. The MSU Grandfamilies research program studies the psychological aspects of children who are raised solely by their grandparents and those who are raised in conjunction with their parents and grandparents to determine whether any significant differences between the two groups exist.

Anna is incredibly excited to have been offered this position and is looking forward to working with the study. She also had more good news. The President's List was released earlier and Anna's name was on it. The President's List recognizes those students who are enrolled in 12 semester hours and have a 3.7 GPA or higher. These students rank in the top 3% of those enrolled for 12 or more semester hours. She is the daughter of Trey and Sally Lewis Fracchia of Memphis, Tennessee. Her very proud Philadelphia grandmother is Dot Lewis.  Congratulations!

Thirty-four Neshoba Central High School Students earned OSHA10 Certificates recently putting them "a step ahead" when they enter the workforce according to school administrators. The program provided students with basic and more advanced training about common safety and health hazards on the job. Students received OSHA 10 completion cards at the conclusion of the training.  aThis certification can be a major advantage when applying for jobs in a number of industrial fields. The group included 25 engineering students and 9 agriculture (FFA) students. OSHA is an acronym for Occupational Safety and Health Administration which is a division of the United States Department of Labor.  Having this certification saves future employers time and money.
