The Graduate School of Mississippi State University conferred the Master Degree of Business Administration upon Gloria Leader of Philadelphia.

It was not an easy task for Gloria to pursue a graduate degree while working full time and taking care of her family.  She credits her husband, Shawn Leader, with being so supportive and enabling her to attend class and do homework for many hours through the two years it took for her to complete her degree. Gloria works at the Pearl River Resort which will allow her to utilize the knowledge gained through her studies.  Congratulations!

Congratulations to Scotty and Kay Farlow Cumberland who celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on September 17!  Kay is a very busy person who works full time, but also enjoys he hobby of raising bantam chickens and ducks.  She has two bantam roosters and two bantam hens which have hatched baby chicks!  Her ducks recognize her when she comes outside and rush to surround her for food.

The United States Department of Agriculture has extended the Summer Food Service Program until December 31, 2020.  This means that breakfast and lunch are free to all students.  This service is for children ages 18 and under who attend Philadelphia Schools and Neshoba Central Schools. This program ensures that all children are eligible to receive these free meals. Check with your child's school for more information. This is so beneficial for all students. Research indicates that hungry children cannot focus on learning.

Neshoba General Hospital donated two boxes of water bottles to the students of the Neshoba Country School District.  Water bottles for students help curb the spread of COVID-19 by eliminating the need to share water fountains. The bottles are refillable under strict guidelines and keep everyone hydrated during hot days and various school activities. This is another great example of our community supporting our public schools.  Thank you, Neshoba General Hospital!
