Lilly Hicks had a very short Christmas list this year. All she wanted was a calf! She had talked about calves ever since she visited the Beason Family Farm as a member of Leadership Neshoba. With a little help from a friend, her wish was granted. Her dad arrived with his trailer loaded with twin calves as an early Christmas gift. One calf is for Lilly, and one is for a family friend, Reed. They are going to have fun bottle-feeding them! Thanks to her veterinarian father Brian and farmer David for making her wish come true.

The beloved patriarch of the Prince family celebrated his 94th birthday on December 18, surrounded by his wife, Phyllis, his family, and his newest great-granddaughter. A multi-layered frosted cake with the number 94 in gold shone brightly from the white frosting. Happy, Happy Birthday, Mr. Jimmy!

HE IS HOME! Another Christmas miracle and the most fantastic gift the Sparnecht family could ever receive, Ron Sparnecht came home from the hospital in time for Christmas! He is recovering from emergency surgery 10 days ago and is finally able to cautiously come home to recuperate under the watchful eyes of his family and his devoted wife, who has been his private nurse the entire time. His arrival last Wednesday was greeted with a welcome home sign and much joy. He has been on many prayer lists, and many prayers have been offered on his behalf. He is a very special individual who has a servant's heart. So thankful!

The children at the Church of Christ worked diligently and with much love to make fruit baskets which will be distributed to those who are residing in nursing homes or assisted living residences. The "baskets" are made of Williams Brothers cheese boxes which made a wonderful artist's palette for the young artists. There were all sorts of Christmas-themed pictures painted on the box tops, with a child's interpretation on each one. They were charming!

Last Friday evening, an audience of parents and friends enjoyed watching a play, "The Bachelor-North Pole Edition,” presented by Kelly Dansby Little's 5th-grade class. Each student had a part, which was done with much competence and enthusiasm. The play was held at the Performing Arts Center at Neshoba Central. It was the perfect beginning to the Christmas holidays!
