Sometimes you can go home again! Many of us who have come to live in Mississippi from other states enjoy going home to visit and see family and friends. Florine Holmes is one of these people.
She is originally from Missouri and the Illinois areas before moving to Philadelphia. She traveled home for her annual week's vacation to visit her mother, Mattie Baylor.
Florine looks forward to these visits with not only her mother but also other relatives, old friends, and places where she went to college and church. She and he mother visited the sick and shut-ins daily, many of whom are over 90 years old, to share the love of God with these amazing very senior citizens. Each day brought special people and places to renew and enjoy. Her visit seemed to rush by until it was time to return to her Philadelphia home with her husband, Wendell Holmes, Sr., and all of her friends, family, and activities here!

The Dedication of a precious baby boy was held at Bethsaida Baptist Church two Sundays ago. Adorable Ellis Andrew Skinner was dedicated to the Lord in the presence of his family and his church family who love him dearly. They promised to help his parents point him to Christ. His parents' biggest prayer is that Ellis has a deep relationship with Jesus and lives a life that is pleasing to Him. His parents are Dr. Thad Skinner, DVM, and Dr.Sara Breland Skinner, DDS.
After church the couple had a celebratory lunch in their home with a beautiful white frosted cake with a silver cross on it and special cookies iced in white frosting in various shapes. It was a lovely day!

Neshoba Central High School celebrated the last Fall-Winter Formal for the Senior Class of 2025 on November 16th at the Senior Citizens Center. It was a fun and festive event, one for making memories.
Many of the Seniors stopped off at Dancing Rabbit, where they had pictures made in their beautiful dresses. What a wonderful background, which showed off the lovely colors against the white porches.
