J.T. Sam

Funeral service for Mr. J.T. Sam will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Pearl River Facility Building with Rev. Thomas Ben officiating. Interment will be in Simon Isaac Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 3 PM Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Pearl River Facility Building.  John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sam, 81, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS. His hobbies included fishing, watching baseball games, his casino time and spending time with his closest family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charley Tubby and Katie Mae Sam Tubby; sisters, Baby girl Mingo, Joyce Ann Mingo, Mary Sullivan Tubby, Zella Rose Mingo Cravatt; brothers, Donald Sam, Douglas Sam, Sr., Leo Sam.

Survivors include brothers, Albert Mingo and James Mingo; great-nephew whom he raised as his own, Emmett Jones, Jr.; host of nieces and nephews.
