Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Lyon were held on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 11 A.M. from Mt. Ary M.B. Church with Elder Harvey Scott officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery. Beck Funeral Home, Inc was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lyons, 80, of Philadelphia, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Lyon of Philadelphia, MS, one daughter, Jolynn Lyon of Jackson, MS, two sons, Jeffrey Lyon of Philadelphia, MS, and Jonathan Lyon of Louisville, MS, four sisters, Selma Wilson, Birdie McNeil, Shirley Oatis and Linda Young, two brothers, Billy Lyon and Edward Lyon, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Horace Dailey, Mitchell Lyon, Eddie Thompson, Dennis Lyon, Travis Thames and Michael Young.
