Johnny Edward Pierce
Funeral services for Johnny Edward Pierce were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2025 from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Nathan Moore officiating. Interment followed in the Pierce Cemetery. McClain-Hays was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pierce, 63, died Saturday, February 8, 2025.
Johnny was a proud native of Neshoba County, having graduated from Neshoba Central High School in 1979. He dedicated 33 years of his career as a chief engineer with Edison Chouest Offshore Company, where he worked on the research vessel Ice Breaker Nathaniel B. Palmer. For 21 years, he called Punta Arenas, Chile, his home.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Claudia Duque; daughters, Crysanna (Yancy) Johnson and Catalina Pierce Duque; son, Johnny Pierce Duque; three grandchildren; sister Pam (Alvin) Neese; one niece; one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe and Patsy Pierce; son, Claudio Chiguay Duque; brother, Billy Pierce Jr.
