John W. White

John W. White, 76, was born September 23, 1944 in Philadelphia, MS and passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. He was a son of the late Audie Mae Fox White and George Calvin White.

Mr. White loved his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father and PawPaw. He served in the U.S. Army for 22 years and was an avid fisherman and loved his dog, Nogin.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggie White of Lexington; daughter, Connie Michelle Brasington of Lexington; son, John Richard White of Gaston; grandchildren, Victoria Brasington, Lauren Matthews, Alexandria Brasington, Matthew Brasington, Ariana White; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Matthews, Callaway Mills, Sadie Jean Matthews; brothers, Jimmy White of Philadelphia, MS, Henry White of Euphoria, MS; sisters, Appy Kirkland of Preston, MS, Betty Beckham of Enterprise, MS, sister-in-law, Doris White of Meridian, MS, and sister-in-law, Charlotte Britton. He was predeceased by his sister, Sara White and brothers, Rodney White and Jackie White.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, with interment to follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral hom
