Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy McCann were held at 10 AM Thursday, May 29, 2025, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. John E. Stephens officiating. Interment was in Trickum Cemetery. Visitation was 9 AM – 10 AM Thursday, May 29, 2025, at John E. Stephens Chapel.

Mr. McCann, 72, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at his home in Carthage, MS. He lived most of his life in Leake County. He was a Manger for Wal-Mart and was a member of Church of God. His hobbies were raising German shepherds and music.

Mr. McCann is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Maxey McCann; parents, James and Kathaleen Withers McCann.

Survivors include his wife Bettye McCann of Carthage; daughters, Kristi Charme of Carthage; brothers, David McCann (Donna), Carl McCann (Michelle) both of Carthage; (2) grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
