A memorial service for Jimmy "Gator" Yates will be held at a later date.
Mr. Yates, 73, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, at his home in Philadelphia, MS. He lived most of his life in Neshoba County and retired from the Philadelphia Fire Department.
He was Baptist by Faith, and his hobbies were going to flea markets and watching westerns.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Yates; parents, James M. Sr., and Mary Martin Yates; daughter, Brandy Sullivan; sister, Sheila Wells.
Survivors include son, Chris L. Yates of LA; son-in-law, Wesley Sullivan of Philadelphia; (2) grandchildren; (1) great-grandchild.
