James Arden Gentry Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. James Arden Gentry Sr. will be held 10 AM Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. John E. Stephens officiating. Interment in Townsend Family Cemetery with military honors.

Mr. Gentry, 82, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020 at his residence. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and worked many years in Law Enforcement for the City of Philadelphia retiring as Chief of Police. He was a member of The Body of Christ, as well as the V.F.W. and Veterans of Neshoba County. His hobbies include building, outdoor activities and watching football.

Mr. Gentry was preceded in death by his parents, James O.D. Gentry and Virilla Ganey Gentry.

Survivors: Wife, Kathy Gentry; Daughter, Kimberly Dawn Gentry; Sons, James "Jim" A. Gentry Jr. (Tina) and Jason Brant Gentry (Marley); Sisters, Kathleen Thomas, Christine Wilcher, Betty Gentry Arledge; (13) Grandchildren; (4) Great-Grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews.
