Irta Elizabeth Peninger

Funeral services for Mrs. Irta Elizabeth Peninger was held Monday, April 11, 2022 at 2 p.m. from New Zion United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Randall Dunaway officiating. Burial followed in Henry’s Chapel Cemetery. McClain-Hays is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Peninger, 87, formerly of Ackerman, Ms, died Thursday, April 7, 2022.

She was a native of Fork Community of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of Ackerman, MS.  Mrs. Peninger and her husband served the United Pentecostal Church Community for many years.

Survivors include grandchildren, Brandon Peninger, Tera Price  and Nikki Nail; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Inez Robertson and Alice Linton; brother, Willard Benson; numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Mrs. Peninger was preceded in death by her husband,  Rev. Wilson Peninger; sons, Gary Peninger and Terry Price; parents, Sol and Lillian Benson; brother, Howard Benson; sisters, Lois Lovern, Mattie Sue Alexander and Syble Wilson.
