Hope Country Store robbery suspect nabbed

A Neshoba County man was arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery Wednesday at the Hope Store, Sheriff Eric Clark said.

The man, Jaterrian M. Stribling, 23, of 10181 Road 1131, was arrested and charged with armed robbery and possession of a stolen firearm.

Clark said the Hope Country Store on Road 488 was the victim of an armed robbery on the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 7:19 p.m. The violator left the store in a black Nissan car, traveling towards the reservation on County Road 149, Clark said.  

Neshoba County Deputies spotted the vehicle traveling east on Highway 16 soon after.  

The violator turned into the Pow-Wow parking lot and was confronted by deputies and Choctaw Police Officers, at 7:30 pm.  

Calrk said the suspect was identified as Jaterrian Stribling, who was detained without incident.  

“He was driving a car that fit the description, wearing the mask that had been described, possessed an AR-15 long gun, and had cash in the door of the car as described by the victim,” Clark said. 

The gun was stolen from Madison County, Clark said.
