Henry C. Matthews

Services for Henry C. Matthews will be Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Dennis Duvall, Rev. Matthew Jones and Rev. Michael Carter officiating.   Burial will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery in Neshoba County. 

Mr. Matthews, 89, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, June 19, 2021.  

He was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County.  He enlisted in the U. S. Air Force in 1952 and retired in 1973.  After retirement from the USAF he drove for Enterprise products. Mr. Matthews was a member of Philadelphia Church of God.

Survivors include wife, Wanda Matthews; daughters, Belinda Brown and Karen Matthews; sons, Richard Matthews and Mike Williamson, eleven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding Mr. Matthews in death were parents, Robert and Ola Matthews; sisters, Selma Matthews, Thelma Matthews, Ruth Matthews, Mayzell Jones, and Betrude Sistrunk; brothers, Arvis Matthews, Teasley Matthews, and R. B. Matthews.
